No place like home

After more than a month away spent in Dubai and the Maldives, it was so nice to return to our apartment, our home in Salzburg. I love how we straight away slide back into our little routines and after just a few days, it feels like we never left. Being back here means daily walks into the city, which is just a few minutes away, shopping at the local market for the fresh, local fruit and vegetables, lots of home cooked meals and lazy days at home, simply enjoying our little cosy apartment.

And while we are in town only a few minutes walk away from the city center, we have a lush green view, looking right onto the foot of one of the so called city mountains. And since spending a lot of time in busy and always bustling Dubai again, I treasure, appreciate (and often crave) the quietness right outside our windows even more. As a contrast to the green outside, the interiors are all kept in muted, calm and relaxing colours, minimalistic, classic furniture meets the odd eclectic piece collected on our travels, combined with interesting materials and textures. A space to relax, a homebase to get re-organized, to re-charge after our adventures. And as much as I love how much we get to travel at the moment, there is not quite anything just like the moment when returning home again.

Although not much in here has changed since M was born, I did want to introduce a little bit of colour. A little fun splash of something. So when Stokke released three beautiful new colours for their classic Tripp Trapp high-chair, I fell in love with the dark pink one straight away, a warm and energetic shade that really stands out in the neutral setting of our home, adding just the pop of colour I envisioned.

*Thank you Stokke, we j’adore the Tripp Trapp in Heather Pink
